Guyson Tumble-Blast Systems

The standard model tumble-blast systems in Guyson's line-up include compact Model T-40 with a 1/2-cubic-foot capacity, the expanded Model T-50 that processes up to 1 cubic foot of components and our high-production Model T-86 with completely automated loading and unloading.

In tumble-blast batch processing system, all surfaces of components are exposed to impact treatment as the parts gently turn over and over in a slowly rotating tilted basket.

The Guyson design virtually eliminates component damage due to part-on-part impingement that is so common with "barrel-blast" machines. Our tilted basket generates greater circulation of components in the batch, which not only yields more thorough and uniform coverage, but also makes for a shorter blast cycle - typically five minutes or less!

A compact 40" x 40" machine footprint make this industrial duty tumble-blaster a favorite for deburring or finishing work cells. One or two blast guns are bracketed in position over the mouth of the removable perforated steel basket to cover the batch of small components as they turn over and over.

The Guyson design eliminates harsh part-on-part impingement and prevents damage of fragile components. Our original tilted basket design tumbles components more gently and creates better circulation of components in the batch. The result is more thorough coverage in a shorter processing cycle and more uniform surface condition or finish - on all areas of each part, from one component to another and from one batch to another.

The rotation speed of the basket is adjustable, so you can fine-tune the batch blasting process according to the tumbling behavior of different components. At the end of the timed blast cycle, an automatic airwash blow-off cycle removes media and dust from the tumbled parts.

Guyson exclusively offers the option of front discharge chute to make it fast and easy to empty components from the basket. We offer a variety of basket perforation sizes, coated baskets, mini-baskets for very small batches.

The optimum quantity of parts for each batch depends on your component and the purpose of blast treatment, but the working load capacity of the T-40 will be approximately 1/3 cubic foot or 55 pounds of components.

Up to 4 suction-blast guns or 2 pressure-blast nozzles are bracketed in position over the mouth of the removable perforated steel basket to cover the batch of components as they turn over and over in the rotating basket. The rotation speed of the basket is adjustable, so you can vary the batch blasting process to get the best tumbling action for each different component. At the end of the timed blast cycle, an automatic airwash blow-off cycle removes media and dust from the tumbled parts. Guyson exclusively offers the option of front discharge chute to make it fast and easy to empty components from the basket.

The 30 inch diameter and 15 inch deep basket of the T-50 can accommodate slightly larger components than the T-40. We offer a variety of basket perforation sizes, coated baskets, mini-baskets for small batches or smaller parts.

The optimum quantity of parts for each batch depends on your component and the purpose of blast treatment, but the working load capacity of the T-50 will be approximately 1 cubic foot or 75 pounds of components. The machine has 40" x 50" footprint.

Guyson Model T-86 Tumble Blast System

Model T-86 Tumble-Blast System

Fully automatic loading and unloading of components in the T-86 permits unmanned operation, with PLC-controlled blast and airwash cycles. The tumble-blast machine has a 44" x 60" machine footprint.

Up to 4 suction-blast guns or 2 pressure-blast nozzles are bracketed in position over the mouth of the perforated steel tumble-basket to cover the batch of components as they turn over and over. The rotation speed of the basket is adjustable, so you can optimize the tumbling action for the most efficient process cycle. At the end of the timed blast cycle, an automatic airwash blow-off cycle removes media and dust from the parts as they continue to tumble. Then the finished parts are discharged through the automatic chute at the bottom-front of the cabinet, and the upper in-feed hopper loads the next batch. Dead time between cycles is minimized in nearly continuous operation - in fact, the T-86 can out-produce tumble-blast machinery of much larger cubic capacity and dramatically reduce your manpower requirements.

Guyson application engineers can assist you in planning automation of your external material handling, such as conveying of parts to and from the unmanned tumble-blast system, including tie-in of associated equipment to the powerful programmable logic controller of the Model T-86.

The Model T-86 tumble-basket holds up to 1 cubic feet. of components weighing up to 150 pounds. The maximum quantity of parts per batch depends on your component and the purpose of blast treatment.
